TRIUMPH TIGER
Fearless and intrepid the impressive Tiger is the ideal partner for adventure. Whether crossing continents, countries, commuting or simply riding for the hell of it, the Tiger is always a willing accomplice with its lusty power delivery, surefooted composure and excellent rider comfort.
A hefty 105PS (104bhp) is delivered from the fuel injected liquid-cooled 955cc three-cylinder engine, with an even heftier 92Nm (67ft.lbf) torque at 4,400 rpm. The Tiger is all about usability and its motor churns out just that – instant, accessible drive from any engine speed. Add the sturdy tubular steel perimeter frame, supple long-travel suspension and powerful triple-disc braking set-up and the Tiger becomes an agile back-road blaster – or super-composed motorway muncher. It has the comfort, purpose and poise of a true all-rounder.
And with practical touches like the vast 24 litres (6.3 gallon US) fuel tank and the efficient, frame-mounted fairing, which keeps the worst of the windblast and weather at bay, the Tiger’s usability factor multiplies. Powerful twin headlights illuminate the darkest night and, as with all Triumphs, an extensive range of accessories is available for the Tiger, including hard and soft luggage, heated grips and mudguard extensions. Colour options are Jet Black, Lucifer Orange and Aluminium Silver.
But there’s one other detail about the rugged Tiger that countless legions of satisfied owners will be only too happy to divulge. As well as being a practical and useful motorcycle even the briefest spin on a Tiger will make a rider grin, from ear to ear. It’s that sort of bike.
